Clinical Social Work Supervisor

Skills Training Programme

This training programme is designed for social workers who currently hold supervisory responsibilities or who wish to step into a supervisory role. Over four interactive days, participants will work in both small and large groups to practice supervision skills in a supportive learning environment.

A follow-up Masterclass is provided within 60 days of completing the programme to reinforce learning and offer continued practice support.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to apply core supervision models within their practice settings, facilitate reflective sessions and effective informal supervision, and provide constructive feedback to supervisees. The programme integrates real-world case scenarios, complex case management and ethical dilemmas including safeguarding, active supervision practice, and peer feedback to help participants develop confidence and competence in supervision.

  • Participants will also develop skills in:

  • Contracting and structuring supervision

  • Reflective practice models and frameworks

  • Resolving ethical dilemmas

  • Evaluating their supervision practice

  • Integrating trauma-informed, systemic, and anti-discriminatory approaches

  • CPD Certificate of Completion

The programme also emphasises developing one’s personal supervisory and learning style and cultivating thoughtful, reflective supervisory spaces. All training content is fully compliant with CORU registration requirements.
